Name the type, not just swimsuit

The word covers garments with very different outlines. A one-piece is continuous from chest to hip. A bikini is two pieces and the proportions of each change the whole silhouette. A school swimsuit, or sukumizu, is the navy single-piece used in Japanese school swimming lessons and carries a distinct set of associations. A tankini pairs a longer top with separate briefs.
