Ukiyo-e Art — AI artworks by SUPPART users
What ukiyo-e style AI art looks like
Ukiyo-e comes from woodblock printing, and the constraints of that process define the look: flat areas of colour with no blending, a firm keyblock outline around every shape, and a limited palette registered one block at a time. Depth is suggested by overlapping and by placement on the page rather than by perspective, and water, cloud and fabric are stylised into repeating patterns.
What it is good for
Japanese-themed key art, packaging and posters, seasonal imagery, and anything that should read as traditional without being a photograph. The flat colour makes it reproduce well in print and at small sizes.
How it differs from ink wash and anime
Ink wash is monochrome and depends on gradation and empty space; ukiyo-e is coloured and depends on flat blocks with hard edges. Anime shares the outline but uses modern proportions and gradient shading. If your result has soft shading, it has drifted away from woodblock — ask for flat colour.
